CLZ is currently looking for volunteer assistant’s at base camp to help with various aspects of our daily operations and focussed project work.

Job Description
We are looking for volunteers to fill the following roles:
• Construction Assistant: ideally with building, carpentry & electrical experience to manage housing construction and other camp maintenance. 3-6 months
• GIS Assistant (Geographic Information System): ideally trained and/or experienced in GIS to further develop the current GIS used by CLZ, train CLZ/ZAWA personnel, set up formal GIS, data and monitoring protocols,, develop an interface for PDAs using CyberTracker software and a data management protocol for aerial monitoring and surveys. 1-2 months
• Administrative Assistant: to assist with hosting visitors at CLZ base camp, supervising and training camp and kitchen staff, helping with basic CLZ accounts and marketing. 6-12 months
This is a unique opportunity to live at CLZ Base Camp just outside a spectacular National Park on the Zambezi River and be part of an effective conservation organisation. Volunteers are asked to cover their costs of food & accommodation: ZMW3,000 (US$600) per month at CLZ base camp.
