BOC Network is a non-profit organization, assisting minority and immigrant entrepreneurs to start and develop their business, by offering free workshops and one-on-one counseling as well as microloans, provided by the partner organization BOC Capital Corp. With this special combination of access to knowledge and expertise as well as financing, BOC Network's aims to achieve its mission to support traditionally underserved groups, especially low and moderate - income entrepreneurs and their communities and to thereby create brighter futures.



BOC is looking for an intern or volunteer to commit 16 hours weekly to support BOC's communication, marketing and event-planning activities beginning from mid-August onwards. Ideally applicants should be passionate about communication, marketing and event planning, while having an interest in small entrepreneurship, microfinance and community development. Assistance is specifically needed with regard to the upcoming BOC Awards, an event hosted by BOC to celebrate the successes of local small businesses from NYC's diverse communities
